Why We Started
People First was born from a simple but powerful belief: government should serve the people, not the other way around. Our movement brings together Fijians from every walk of life, including people with experience in public service, community leadership, business, farming, education and national responsibility.
We believe families across Fiji — from Suva to our rural and maritime communities — deserve better health services, stronger schools, reliable infrastructure, safer communities and a government that listens. People First is growing because many Fijians are ready for practical change, steady leadership and a government that puts people first.

Mission
The People First mission is to build a society founded on justice, fairness and equitable progress.
Objectives
People First will pursue the following objectives:
Build a unified, just and democratic nation
Foster a shared sense of citizenship based on fairness and justice, promote democratic governance and individual liberties, and build a nation rooted in tolerance and patriotism.
Uphold the rule of law and national integrity
Uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji and safeguard the nation's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Prioritise citizen welfare and rights
Place the interests of citizens at the centre of all initiatives, and defend the rights, freedoms and dignity of every individual.
Drive inclusive economic and social progress
Support economic independence and free enterprise, create employment, raise living standards, and advance social, economic and cultural development.
Ensure equitable empowerment
Promote the Party's core values, empower citizens as equal partners, and ensure equitable access to education and training, with the goal of building a brighter future.
